Happy New Year to you all. I’ve just returned home from a couple of days away with my family and on the drive up north I was contemplating what creative challenges I could do this year with my photography. A lot of people challenge themselves with 365 Projects, including me a couple of years back. However, it was a lot of hard work and took too much time away from my family with editing and sharing photos every day.
This year I’ve decided on something a little easier. A ‘Once a Month Project’ where I’ll choose a topic and photograph a few images for a Blog post. I would love some topic ideas if you have them for me. The other challenge I’m currently doing is a month long video challenge for January. I’ll be shooting a little video each day in January of things that make me happy and at the end of the month will compile the snippets together with some music in the hope that it will come together beautifully.
So for my first Once a Month Project for the year, I chose the topic “Long Exposure” and captured some New Year’s Eve fireworks. I’ve never photographed fireworks before and it actually wasn’t as hard as I was expecting and was a lot of fun.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I’m only too happy to share and chat.
