We’ve just come back from a short family trip to Forster and Taree in the Manning Valley. We’ve visited this area quite a bit over the past few years but haven’t yet been to Ellenborough Falls. The Manning Valley visitor guide says Ellenborough Falls is reported to be one of the highest waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere with a single drop of 200 metres. We decided we wanted to experience the falls in all it’s glory and get right to the base so we climbed the very steep 641 steps to the bottom of the valley to capture some great photos of the waterfall. The walk was hard, especially heading back up to the car but we weren’t disappointed! It was such a magical place to explore.
